Oh New York City, I have never felt more at home looking at tall beautiful buildings and sitting next to unknown faces in a subway station. Isn't it crazy that I fell in love with you within first sight, something people say is nearly impossible, but I love you. A city full of dreams and hopes, living in small apartments to try to succeed in a city that is too overly priced.
The fashion involved in the city is my absolute favorite, everywhere you turn there is someone expressing themselves in a different manner than the person before them. New York, how is it that you make people unafraid to "go over-the-top" and not fear of being judged or criticized.
New York, I haven't seen you in 5 years. I could tell you missed me, so I came back. I am a little bit wiser and way more fashionable. I came to impress you, so maybe one day you could reward me by letting me taking residence in the big apple.

Get Tired Easily?
* New York is the city of walking a lot. If you cannot handle being in heels all day then I recommend some cutie sneakers. Personally, I believe I am a pro when it comes to wearing heeled booties all day. I have had lots of practice. I was thriving.
Small Waist, Big Hips?
* My waist is too small in comparison to my hips and booty which I means I try-on 50 jeans in 50 different sizes in 50 different stores, walking out with no pair of jeans. Until, American Eagle, my lord and savior, made curvy jeans. Ladies, I was very hesitant about these jeans because there are so many brands that say they are for curvy girls and they are not. These jeans just hug you in all the right places, plus you can get short (me), tall or regular length. Talk about inclusivity.
Day 2 : 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Brooklyn Bridge, Wicked Broadway Musical
* the first picture is in front of the Oculus Mall which is next to the 9/11 Memorial, but I didn't want to be insensitive, taking pictures in front of of the memorial. *

Love the purse, but too pricey?
* All the prices I put next to each outfit is the original price of everything, but I didn't buy any of this full priced. Frasier Sterling is consistently offering coupon codes on their site such as their 30% off deal for new members and a free gift. I got that purse for 60% off. I highly recommend playing the waiting game for clothes and accessories you like because a coupon code will eventually go out. I also have Honey installed which is an app for the internet browser that will automatically find and apply coupon codes to your checkout.
NYC TIPS 101
Is Wicked worth the money? In general, is Broadway worth the money?
* I was very hesitant to see Wicked, because it never seemed interesting or intriguing to me at all but it is totally worth the hype. The production and cast did a phenomenal job, I had like nose-bleed seats that were worth about $100 and I do not regret it at all. A big part of NYC is Broadway and I feel like to get the full experience, you have to go see at least one show.

Should I wear leggings under my jeans/pants?
* Totally depends on the weather, this day I completely regretted not wearing leggings underneath because the wind was entering inside my flowy pants and freezing my booty. Most days I didn't wear leggings and I was totally fine. Recommendation: if it is a windy day, put some leggings underneath; if it is not then you shouldn't waste your time because you will probably get too hot.
NYC Tips 101
Was it hard to find the Flat Iron Building?
* Yes, it was so hard to find because I didn't expect the Flat Iron Building to be under construction and thought it would be way flatter. I google mapped it and I literally never noticed I already had passed it multiple times until my friend told me. I am also a little teensy dumb at times. Honestly, there is no need to take a picture in front of it due too the construction, but totally up to you.

Is layering, gloves and hats really necessary in New York, during this time/season?
* Yes! Oh my gosh, gloves saved my fingers from freezing off my body and some days I didn't wear my bucket hat which made my ears turn bright red. You will be cold and it's best to be prepared... now I didn't have to wear heavy layers everyday, but sometimes I did. Just be ready for anything in New York, during the cold season.

What should I order at Mcgee's, How I Met Your Mother, inspired pub?
* I am glad you asked! You may not know, but I am a vegetarian and have been for roughly 2 years. My recommendation will be veggie related, but it is amazing and you will L O V E it. The veggie burger, add cheese and lettuce, with a side of fries was 11/10 amazing. The best veggie burger I have ever had and I have had so many. Also if you're a big HIMYM fan (like me), they have dinner and drink plates dedicated to the show that you can order.

I've noticed you have repeated the same shoes multiple times and jeans, why is that?
* I am a very efficient packer and will never pack more than what I believe is necessary to take on a trip. I will usually wear sneakers to the airport and then pack 2 or 3 shoes in my luggage for the trip to save room for my clothes and for things I buy in the city. As I said previously, I never really owned jeans until now, I only have 3 pair of jeans, and I brought 2 on the trip. However, if I had more jeans I would still only bring 2 just too save room in my suitcase. Can't be going over the 50lb limit.
Food Tip 101
Is Waffles & Dinges good? How much is it?
* I love the aesthetic of food, the way it presents itself within photos/videos, but I am not a huge fan of sweets at all besides ice cream. The dessert was roughly $12 which is not a bad price as it is very big size. I think too the average lover of waffles and ice cream, you should really love it and they have different toppings you can put on it. I would recommend this place.

I've been wanting that necklace for the longest time, it is trendy, but so expensive. Are there any knock-offs/dupes?
* I always used to see Instagram influencers or Youtubers wearing a necklace with their birth year and I remember always wanting one, thinking it was the cutest thing. It was just too pricey for a necklace, in my opinion. I ended up buying the necklace because my dear friend Sav ended up telling me that if you use the discount code "Keaton," that would actually earn you 50% off your purchase in the Vibeszn site. Etsy also sells birth year necklaces, you just run the risk of it being cheaply made. Completely up to you, though!
NYC Tips 101
Omg, how did you get to that location where you see the bridge in the background. What's the exact address because I want to take pictures there?
* The address of this location is the intersection of Washington Street and Water Street. I recommend going in the daylight rather than at nighttime, so you don't get lens glare from the light shining off the bridge. There is going to be numerous people and photographers there taking photos, so I recommend standing in the sidewalk because it won't get that many people in the background of your picture.
Was the pink restaurant busy, I hear it usually is? Also is the food their expensive?
* Before you go to New York City, it is important to know the cheapest dinner plate that you will find at a restaurant is roughly around $15, excluding tax and tip, this beautiful pink restaurant was no exception to the rule. The menu is small and overly priced, my friends and I ended up leaving because this place was not worth it. They also only accept cash and American Express, if you truly want to eat here, they have an atm inside of the place. Too answer the other question, there was not a huge line of people wanting to take pictures because it was pitch black and your pictures still come out amazing, so I recommend going at night time too avoid the long line of people trying to get the perfect Instagram shot.

Fashion Tip 101 - Reminder
* This day was the coldest and I was freezing my butt off. The wind was so strong, just remember to layer, layer and keep layering until you cannot layer anymore. You will have to take all your layers off when entering a building, but those layers are necessary when you are outside. TRUST ME!!
