My heart will always want to explore and get lost around the world that surrounds me. I have this strong desire to travel... to see every inch that the universe has to offer.
As a broke college student, I can only afford to wander around my home, my beautiful city, Houston. Everyone should visit this g o r g e o u s city at least once in their lifetime. It has shaped and curated the woman I am. There is also incredible amounts of art and culture located within the city that will make your Instagram look amazing.
I can't believe that the city I've spent my whole life in still has places I have never set foot in.

📍F l o w e r C h i l d : Uptown Houston

Food Ordered
♨ Crushed Avocado Toast - $7.50
♨ Gluten Free Mac and Cheese - $4
It is extremely wonderful to travel and explore a city all alone, but I was in desperate need of a girl chat with my favorite human, S y l a r. My favorite places to rant about nothing and everything are at the trendiest restaurants that are always weirdly filled with older customers rather than young adults. Flower Child happened to be a healthy foodie place that popped up in my Instagram that left my mouth watering.
My wallet is running dry, so I signed up for their Ebites which will take off $10 on any $20 purchase. Tip 2: create a spam email account to sign up for coupons from resturants and stores #savemoney !!! The avocado toast was not W O W (still yummy though) ... I would recommend Kitchen at Dunlavy for a bomb avocado toast, but the gluten free mac and cheese is way tastier than other healthier alternatives of the food.
p.s : the interior was gorgeous and I want to contact their designer to decorate my future home.

📍Unicorn Magical Dessert Bar : Westheimer
Dessert Ordered
♘ Unicorn Magical Original Shake - $14.99
Desserts are a huuuuuge temptation for me, I am a sucker for sweets, but more specifically ice cream. Coincidentally, the unicorn-themed dessert bar also appeared on my recommended for Instagram which led me to text my best friend to not even try going here without me. The whole display and layout of the dessert shop is so Instagram-Worthy that it honestly completed my day.
This place was filled with numerous kids screaming over the unicorns all over the dessert shop, wanting to take a picture with anything unicorn-related. I'll be honest, I was transported back to my childhood and had a huge smile just being at this place. The shake and cake were so incredible, e v e r y o n e needs to taste this magical dessert.
Tip #3 : Share the shake! It is very huge and pretty pricey.

Location #3
📍Rent a B-Cycle : Downtown

Price
🚲 $3 for every 30 minutes
Envy usually fills me when I see people biking around the city, getting to see everything that my legs no longer have the energy to walk too. We took it upon ourselves to do something our young souls always desired to do.... rent a bike and ride around downtown Houston.
What was not anticipated was the several bruises that would appear on my golden skin from falling off the bike way too many times to count. These bikes went way faster than the bikes I had as a child, but all the bruises and falls made for a hilariously good time with my best friend.
